Give me long, beautiful hair. Alex was on a sea of it. Blonde waves of hair. Caressing, surrounding, coiling, engulfing...

Alex came to from a quick and vivid dream with a start. There was hair in his mouth!! He carefully removed it and took a deep breath. He tried to see himself and Rapunzel in the dim light of an alarm clock glowing a time of 7:57 am. He couldn't make out much but he could tell that he was wearing a pair of boxers and coils of long, long blonde hair around his torso, left arm and left leg.

He tried to uncoil himself without waking his companion, friend and lover. And to think, just a few hours ago, he was quite happy to be caught in that hair.

"I can live with that."

She finds her purse under his shirt, and finds her shears and a length of ribbon.

She ties it tightly into a thick ponytail at the base of her neck, and offers him the scissors as she turns her back to him.

With a yawn, she considers a Bloody Mary for breakfast.

"Is it me, or did I drink the lion's share of the Champagne last night?'

He begins to snip. Almost a veteran of this, he cuts through cleanly and smoothly.

"Did you?...hm. Probably. Guess I'm still a beer man. Next time I'll hold up my end, OK?

"You feeling hung over?" A question he asks simply out of concern. He has no problem with women (or men) who enjoy liquor. Not when he does.

"No, just tired. I could probably drink a lot of the bar under the table, if I put my mind to it."

She hasn't done that in a while. It might be fun to play a drinking game with him, some time.

"I think that healing faster than most has its advantages in that area. Breakfast?"

"Wait. You can do THAT?" It should have occured to him. The whole healing thing. And the ability to handle liquor. "OK, I gotta ask. What's the most you ever drank?" His curiosity is lit up, even as he gets dressed.

She laughs at his sudden enthusiasm.

"I'm not sure...it's been a while since I drank that much, and even then, it was with other Fables."

She can get drunk...it just takes a lot of liquor. No one's introduced her to atlantean, yet.

"Probably a bottle and a half of vodka, I guess. That was a long time ago."

A bottle and a half? It should scare him, or freak him or something. But he's besotted with the lady. And impressed.

After he ties his shoes, Alex gets up and puts his left arm around her shoulders. "Brains, beauty, charm, energy, and a hollow leg. You, Rapunzel, are perfect.

"She we get some breakfast? I believe the traditional breakfast after a night of partying includes eggs?"

"Sounds about right," she says with a smile.

As they head for the door, she says, "I won a sizable amount of money in the 1920s, betting that I could out drink the owner of a local speakeasy. It can come in handy, from time to time."

Alex smiles a bit wickedly at that. "You are gonna have to tell me more about that..."

And with that the couple makes their way to breakfast and another day at the Bar.
