Housewarming

The new apartment awaits its guests. Brand new folding chairs line the walls of the dining room, and the living room is as clean as possible.

Almost everything is ready. Let the housewarming begin!

"Haven't actually been," he allows as while filling a plate with mixed veggies, "but as I believe I mentioned when we first met, I've met people in the bar from at least one world with a Gotham."

Okay, that's not exactly what he said at the time, but in accordance with a clarification of bar policy a while back, that's the way he now remembers saying it; whether it's the way Knox remembers hearing it, is your call.

"Right. Like Steph." Who Knox wonders if she'll make it. "Well, this is my corner of it. Even if we're in the suburbs. Bristol." He shows Michael the window and a view of a tree lined street.

"Looks quite pleasant," Michael observes. "Hard to believe a place like this is within the proverbial stone's throw of a place with such a reputation as Gotham has."

"Yeah, I know. But Bristol has a good police force. An honest police force. Really." He lets the curtains back into place.

"A lot of the other suburbs aren't so nice."
