Housewarming

The new apartment awaits its guests. Brand new folding chairs line the walls of the dining room, and the living room is as clean as possible.

Almost everything is ready. Let the housewarming begin!

"Yup." He opens the door to a small, cozier room, that looks like it needs some decorating yet. "This is the guest room. Suitable for teenaged super-heroes, 10 year old psychics, and women with small children and their husbands."

"Do you get many of those in?"

"Not yet. But any time you and CJ want to visit, let me know? You'll like Bristol, at least. Can't really reocmmned the city, though." He smiles at her and takes Jack. "What do you say, Jack?"

"Dinner?" Jack replies, not appreciating the decor as it deserves.

"Ask your mother first?" He turns to Shufti. "What can he eat now?"

"More or less anything, so long as it's cut up and has no bones. And not much salt. And thanks."

She follows them back.

He guides them back to the living room - it's not that big a place, after all - and then to the food. He studies the choices and reaches for a slice of turkey.
